Inspired by someone on TikTok who recommended a great baby shower gift for new Mommies, a bud vase for the blooms that their baby will pick for them 💕 when babies pick you little flowers they don't quite fit in a big vase so a bud vase is the perfect solution!

I loved this idea sooo much I just wanted to add a little touch to it and knew that using my xTool m1 laser would come in handy.

These are the materials I used...

  • Canva pro for my design

These little tags were designed in Canva using free and pro elements on a 3"x3" sized canvas.

Elements were uploaded separately into XCS (xTool creative space) as a transparent background png which is accessible when you have a Canva pro account. It is also possible to upload as a png but to trace the image.

The font is Gellatio which I believe is a free font

And the image floral wreath is a pro element by Inna Moreva

I like to upload the elements separately and then adjust them to the right size in xTools creative space software.

once your png is loaded it's a good idea to set it to your engrave layer color in XCS I forgot to do this but did it later in the project.

**These edits were done in Creative Space on my phone and it wasn't too bad to do, I love using the computer for all things XCS but as I've gotten used to messing with all the elements it's become easier to use the mobile app.

In the image above I then outline the transparent png that was uploaded from Canva making sure to uncheck the box for add inner outline.

Once you have your image outline move it away from your image and for the tag portion, insert shape to add a circle that you can adjust to a good size then select both the outline and the circle and hit combine and the I think first one in the mobile app is unite.

Once united they look like this.

Add another circle and make it small for your tag hole select your outline and tag hole and group them so when you move them later they'll stay together. These can then be assigned a color and set for cut.

*The measurements in this image are not exact, these are examples of the steps I took to get these tags. Your sizing is up to you.

Now select your image which should be assigned to a different color for engraving. Once selected trace the image and that trace can be assigned to a different color and set for score.

Now line everything up and get ready to process. I was not able to do these tags in large batches, working with a transparent png as my engrave layer made this project go slower.

I highly recommended as another option for the floral frame using under insert shape in XCS and under border they have a couple cute floral wreaths :) perfect for this project!! I just loved that graphic and wanted a Mommy pot with it.

Also made one for my mom who we call Mimi

And made her be with this cool tag found in Canva pro elements.
