I've had this awesome machine for 6 months and continue to be pleasantly surprised with the things it can do!
This weekend I set out to make my own logo stamp with the xTool M1 diode laser.
I was hesitant to try because I don't not have the added on air assist feature that helps to cool the material down while the laser is working.
I always watch super close to make sure I'm not setting things on fire... my friends and family must think I'm nuts because every time I make something I always say no fires :)
(It is absolutely possible for materials to catch fire and the machine should always be watched closely)
The xTool M1 runs on its own official software XCS (xTool Creative Space) you can create things in this software but also upload from other places.
I am very familiar with and loooove using Canva, ever since the first time I used it it's been a staple in my life.
So I've, of course, been creating things in Canva and uploading them to XCS.
This works for engraving items mostly!
I tried to cut something directly from Canva when I first got my machine and made a tiny fire 🔥 hence the paranoia.
Cutting is possible just has to be done differently.
So for this stamp I made my design in Canva using free and pro elements.
Top font: brusher bottom font: copperplate gothic 29 bc
The ladybug is a pro element by baddesigner found by searching ladybug sketch.
The image was set to be a 3"x3" image
I then saved that as a transparent background png, I usually use my computer for all things XCS related but I was being lazy and decided to try using my Creatove Space mobile app and it worked just fine!
Once I had the image in XCS I inverted it so the engraved area is all the black in this image. Also reflected the image so my letters would be facing the correct way.

This is the rubber I used, found on Amazon

It took a a good bit of time but not an excessive amount of time I used the settings for laser engraved rubber mat that were pre programmed in the machine power 100% speed 40mm/s it wanted to go for 2 passes but I stopped it after the first because of small flames 🔥 but still ended up with a nice stamp! Super happy with this first try stamp project! Plan to use this to stamp little brown bags and little burlap sacks for some of my products.

This is my xTool M1 we named him Cutty 💗
